I said above, the toughest thing for the Bolts will be getting their players from Florida to the bubble without becoming positive.
“Every man who has stepped foot on the moon launched from the Kennedy Space Center, in Florida. Yet, Florida has failed to figure out how to run an election properly — a task simpler than rocket science.”

    • The vaccine they're developing at Cambridge, which is probably our best hope of ending this nightmare quickly, is an RNA vaccine, as I understand it.

RNA based vaccines, which are relatively quick and inexpensive to develop and may be safer to use could herald more rapid control over the spread of infectious diseases, including COVID-19. This policy briefing summarises the essentials.

It basically trains the body at the molecular level to produce the needed antigens, which the body then doesn't reject because the antigens are homegrown unlike traditional vaccines.

      • Yeah RNA vaccines are pretty cool and hopefully the future. They're a lot easier to churn out for each new disease. I think they need more time to make sure they're safe compared to the more conventional ones like the one Oxford is making, though.

        On that note...

Oxford's vaccine offers ‘good duration of immunity’ to COVID-19 compared to no vaccine: lead researcher

In order to dispel concerns about re-infections, Gilbert said that the Oxford vaccine should be able to provide ‘a good duration of immunity’ and she is optimistic about it. She also said a vaccine might provide better results than natural immunity acquired when individuals recover from the virus.

"Vaccines have a different way of engaging with the immune system, and we follow people in our studies using the same type of technology to make the vaccines for several years, and we still see strong immune responses," said Gilbert.

"It’s something we have to test and follow over time – we can’t know until we actually have the data – but we’re optimistic based on earlier studies that we will see a good duration of immunity, for several years at least, and probably better than naturally-acquired immunity."

Eye-popping number in Monmouth poll: Just 18% of voters think “defund the police” means “get rid of police,” while 77% say it means “change the way police operate.”

Trump rn is running ads portraying “Biden’s America” as one w/o police.

18% is still large when it could be 0% by simply not having such an idiotic name and by changing it to something less ambiguous. But I digress

Biden emerges from a contested Democratic primary with no serious threat on his left flank, according to Times/Siena polling in the battlegrounds.
              Sanders supporters back him 87-4
              Warren supporters back him 96-0

I agree, but 18% is half of the deplorables.

                  Our standards have dropped considerably!

I’ve seen 3 series of ads.

Biden is senile - rejected by the American public
Biden’s supporters (not him) want a country without police - rejected in this poll.
                    Biden supports China.

The fact that Trump has dominated the airwaves and has gained nothing has to worry them

Advertising can get you to try a food, but if you buy it and hate the taste, no amount of advertising will get you to buy it again.

                    • For anyone considering going 3rd party in November, here's Kanye West's "platform"

Across four hours of interviews, the rap billionaire says he’s never voted, has recovered from Covid—but doubts vaccines and envisions running a presidency modeled on Wakanda in “Black Panther.”

“I’m not saying Trump’s in my way, he may be a part of my way. And Joe Biden? Like come on man, please. You know? Obama’s special. Trump’s special. We say Kanye West is special. America needs special people that lead. Bill Clinton? Special. Joe Biden’s not special.”
I agree that all of those he listed are special, himself included. I'm also confident we disagree on what kind of "special" he and Trump are.

Disagree. This indicates that the majority of Trump's death cult are bright enough to understand the actual meaning of "de-fund" I'm surprised.
I’m a senior. As are Donnie, Puckhead, and JB.

                          Who knew?

                              Sounds reasonable to me.

Ask Hillary what good dominating TV dollars is.

Hell, ask Bernie in the primaries. Biden spent nothing and smoked the field, in the end.

IMO, TV advertising only helps in defining candidates who have low name ID and don't have established brands. Trump and Biden have high name ID and Trump definitely is a very established brand. And, in Trump's case, no amount of money is going to buy advertising capable of convincing someone that a can of Spam is a t-bone steak.
