As I mentioned on discord, much of this is due to the uneven distribution of vaccine by the federal government. Alaska has received enough vaccine to give 41% of their residents a shot. It's 31% in DC, 30% in South Dakota, 27% in New Mexico and 26% in North Dakota and West Virginia. On the other hand, Florida, California, Illinois and Arizona have received enough vaccine to serve 23% of their population and almost every other state is between 20% and 22%.

Mitt Romney says Trump would win the 2024 Republican nomination "in a landslide". Lots of time between now and then, but the Republican's are still willing to tie themselves to the guy no matter what. Unless the SDNY or Georgia investigations, or the 14th Amendment stop him, that is. No clue who would want to be his Vice President, after he did nothing to stop his supporters from wanting to hang Pence from the gallows on January 6th.
