Vinik says he doesn't see himself buying a baseball team, says his plate is full with hockey.

Well, that’s good for us hockey fans, and bad for us baseball fans. Sternberg is gonna move this team...

i hope it’s true, but what other answer can you give, when the team isn’t for sale?

Vinik doesn't want to be the principal owner of a baseball team right now, but his 2% stake in the Sox tells me he'd definitely consider being part of a group of buyers, especially if he could get the team in Ybor and he can take advantage of his footprint in the area.

He needs to buy the soccer team off the Rays, though

                Time for a fire sale.
I’m a senior. As are Donnie, Puckhead, and JB.

                Who knew?

The Rays are now 2.5 behind the A's for the second wildcard..and the Sox are breathing down their necks. Morton is a stud, but with Snell it's like a box of chocolates. Maybe a Glasnow appearance can help down the stretch.

Snell to undergo arthroscopic surgery to remove "loose bodies" in his pitching elbow, out at least till early September. Shut him down now and be sellers at the deadline, it ain't happening this season.

                    • They won't be sellers because of how easy their schedule will be the last couple months. I think they will just be small buyers. Nothing that costs top tier prospects, but just moves to put them in a better position heading into August. Ideally they would get a starter, a right-handed bat, and two bullpen arms.

I thought that too, before the Snell injury. We shall see.

                        • So they Jays hit FOUR dingers after the seventh to tie in the 9th, then another to walk off in the 12th. You’ve got an 8-2 lead in the 7th and you wind up losing..These are the Jays, not NY or the Sox. Whew...what a kick in the balls.

                            • Basically a repeat of yesterday but with the Rays coming back and winning after being down 7. Can't predict baseball with how awful bullpens are around the league.

                              • If the season ended today, the Rays would play in the wild card game. They've been on a roll
