    True.
I’m a senior. As are Donnie, Puckhead, and JB.

    Who knew?

But can soccer give you 81+ home games?

True. Not as many dates in that, but would be more multipurpose, attract international games, etc.

Perhaps this is why he's not investing in the Rays.

Make no mistake, the Rays are making money, they are just doing it in a very sad and fan-irksome way.

You're right, not all of his holdings are known. I'm basing that thought on some recent published articles of several confirmed losses Vinik has endured, totally possible that he's had gains elsewhere.

Don't look now, but the Rays are 9-3 and ahead of the Yankmees by 3 games...Oh, and the Sox are in dead last. I know its real early, but I'm trying to catch them any way I can. They're 2 out of 3 vs the Giants was on out here. Impressive to watch (and my Grandson, a recent Cal resident but a grad of Steinbrenner, proudly wore his TB hoodie to the Saturday game.)

                    White Sox vs Rays 4-10-19
                    Attendance 974

The White Sox should have given all those 974 fans tickets to another game this season for at least trying to attend.

I saw the end of it, and it looked like there was about 100 people left.

Rays go to 18-9 in dusting the Sox for back to back wins. I just wish I could see attendance creep above 10,000 for any particular game. I know many of you are not Sternberg fans, and I’m not either, but damn, this is a fun team to watch. They’re no fluke—they won 90 games last year.

The biggest problem is, they are a fun team to watch on television too. Driving to St.Pete to watch in the giant trash can? Not quite as fun. I'd almost rather drive all the way to St. Pete and watch at Fergs than go into the stadium for free and be in that atmosphere. So sad, because a lot of us do want to support the team.

I get it..I ALWAYS stopped at Fergs for a couple of suds prior to walking over. And its a cool, boisterous crowd there; fun to just stay there and watch a game. (Beers cheaper too.

Oh yea, I never purchase anything in the stadium, especially when Fergs is a short walk away. Me and my friends try to make at least 5 or 6 games a year. About half the time we get there and just detour to Fergs instead of the game, plus we are all mostly youngish and single and Fergs is one of the better places to socialize.

Maybe for others it's different, but glad to see you get where I am coming from haha

I don’t. It’s nonsensical to complain about the atmosphere inside the dome while refusing (even with a free ticket) to walk a couple hundred yards to, yknow, DO something about it. I think they’ve done a decent job with the lights and the new turf and the 360-degree walkways. Good seats are easy to migrate down to. The real problem, I think we agree, is the fans. There aren’t enough. Most of them sit on their hands or golf clap at best. There are like 3-5 guys yelling encouragement or heckling and you can hear them crystal clear. It’s depressing. But the team is great. They deserve our efforts to change the funereal atmosphere. ... Or maybe this area just doesn’t have enough fans to support a team.

Good point Bolt. I'd forgotten about the new gathering area in centerfield. It's a great place to be in "the crowd" while still being part of the game.
