If he clears it's because of the three year contract. This is absolutely the kind of guy you claim right before the season and take a flyer on (no pun). A team like Ottawa, with Tkachuk unsigned and White being hurt for a long time, is a perfect fit.

I know its preseason, but Maroon and Perry look really good, and PEB has fit in perfectly.

It's hard to say what happens with the final roster. Barre-Boulet didn't play in the last two games which seems odd for a bubble guy. Makes me wonder if the bolts were sheltering him a bit in the hopes that nobody claims him if they waive him.

Looks like that was the idea as they are indeed waiving him.

Corey frickin Perry with two beauts. One in tight (his juicy zone) and the other pure vet finesse. He looks real Cup hungry to me. What a great addition. And the kitties are relegated to the litterbox.

I'm guessing the bolts like their internal choices, but Jonah Gadjovich is an interesting waiver guy. He really impressed me when Utica played Syracuse, and he has 28 goals in his last 57 AHL games.

Bennett was fortunate he lost his balance and went down after Serg's (missed) haymaker. There's no doubt they'll tangle again and Bennett better be ready (turtle).

With 26 cuts today Lightning down to 16 forwards, 9 D and 3 goalies. With Smith injured looks like Ryfors, Katchouk, Raddyish still on roster as forwards and Sustr and Claesson on D and Miftakhov as 3rd goalie.

A line of Perry/Bellmare/Maroon would be fascinating and fun to watch.

Cirelli should be okay for start of season so suspect most of the prospects go to Syracuse. If everyone healthy probably have 2 in the press box and unless they pick some one up Claesson will be one ano other to be determined. The battle is for the two wingers on supposedly Colton’s line. Truely believe this year’s 4th line is going to get more ice time.
