They are not saying when Driedger is due back (ACL) , but it's likely Feb or Mar. He's pretty much a .900-920 goalie.

Jones has upped his game and they have won several games late by more than one goal. This group bears watching, and because I live west, I can watch them pretty regularly. Oh, btw, it's their seventh win in a row.

Tokarski starting tonight for Pittsburgh. Nice little journeyman career he's put together for himself with CapFriendly having him over $4 million in career earnings.

Carolina is so overrated because of that

Only Carolina could have a game where they get 67 shots on goal and still lose. The Moneypuck numbers are hilarious. 84 shot attempts and only 7 high danger chances. They were just lobbing pucks on net from distance all night. Empty calorie city.

Thank you Kraken for throttling the Leafs, 5-1 at Scotiabank. Leafs GA is climbing and questions are starting to swirl regarding Murray. Oh no, Mr. Bill.

Which seems fair. Do we need seven preseason games? Granted all but one or two are mostly minor and junior players, but the NHL preseason is a slog for sure.

I'd be more in favor of 69 games:
Play everyone in your division 3 times = 21 games
Play everyone in the opposite division 2 times = 16 games
Play everyone in the other conference twice = 32 games

    84 balances the schedule out.

Play everyone in your division 4 times = 28 games
Play everyone in the opposite division 3 times = 24 games
Play everyone in the other conference twice = 32 games

With 32 teams and 4 divisions of 8, that's the only feasible option. To reduce games you would probably need 8 divisions of 4 like the NFL has, or scrap divisions altogether.
