Not showing he played 20-21 or 21-22. Maybe he's toting a rifle for ol' Vlad??

Plus we beat ‘em last year, and so far in this year’s playoffs they can’t win without home ice and last change advantage. They’re fast and structurally committed to defense, but I don’t feel terribly threatened by them.

      Many reasons I’d prefer Carolina.
Well, it’s the Rags. Too bad Carolina blew their home streak in Game 7. I feel so bad for their not-at-all overrated fanbase. Raanta’s injury opened the floodgates.

Now we have to deal with a team with a very dangerous power play, a good mix of youth and experience, and of course a young goalie who can unpredictably be good or bad on any given night. Oh, and did I mention Barclay Goodrow is back after missing several games?

      • Rangers have too many nasty guys, just hope they are physically worn down.

The big test will be how our pk handles their pp, I think we can score the goals to win.

If no government system will guarantee a utopia, then our best choice is to look for the least exploitive one

        • NYR got a break by playing against back up goalies in first two rounds and still took 7 to win both series. If Bolts play in their structure they will be fine, on paper both Leafs and Panthers are better teams, though NYR do have better goaltending and coaching than either of those two previous opponents.

Hey, that’s Lightning legend Gerard Gallant you’re talking about… he scored a whopping 4 goals for the club!

              • I wanted to mention I think Emily Kaplan is an outstanding interviewer/reporter. You hear so many dumb questions during the game or between periods. I can't recall one from her that I'd put in that category. She is notable in that regard.

                • When will we see Balcers? Can't wait to see this guy burn it up. He's Hagel/Point fast. Still can't believe we got him.

                  • Strange start to NHL season with long unexpected winning streaks and several teams playing lights out hockey….Boston and NJ and others struggling. Never a good sign if you are not in th playoffs at Thanksgiving.

                    • Gallant won’t be happy today. Rangers blow 3 goal lead as Edmonton scores 4 in 3rd period to win in regulation.

                      • Also, saw where the Panthers blew a lead and lost to the Blues in OT.......
Between the Bolts and Florida someone is not making the playoffs if Detroit continues to play the way they are.
That team reminds me of the 2011 or 2015 version of the Bolts who made the playoffs and did some damage. They are the Devils of the Atlantic and look to be getting better as the
season has worn on. Still early but they are solid.

My concern for the Bolts - 3rd and 4th lines. The production is nowhere to be found. Colton especially has been a disappointment as his coverage on the Blues 2nd goal last night
showed some laziness on his skating back into the action. Bellemare? not sure what is going on there..... Balcers took cheap hit and is probably out for a while. AB is still AB 165pds of fluff and he will not survive on the 3rd or fourth line.
Koepke still a question for me as he's been OK buy has not really added anything to mix and now out with injury the bullpen is empty.

We need Perbix back sooner rather than later at least he was not a disaster on the back end.

Lot's of work to put this team together to make a legitimate run at the cup this year versus a cup of coffee in the first round....

                        Still lots of hockey left....

                        • In the West, I've been watching a fair amount of the Kraken. They've now won 5 in a row. They are scoring up and down the lineup, and roll all four lines. Between Grubauer and Jones, they have decent GT. That Beniers kid is the real deal--18 pts in 21 games. They will give the Knights all they can handle.

                          • I dunno about Grubauer being decent. His stats are still awful this year. Jones rediscovering his form to the point he isn't a liability seems to be the big gamechanger. Surprised how well the Kraken are doing this year. Still not convinced by Hakstol, but can't argue with results if they keep this up.

                            • Yeah, Grubs has played 5 games and is under .900. Jones has 11 games and is .903. As i mentioned, they are getting balanced scoring, and alot of it. And I'm a little partial because of 37, and the fact that my daughter now lives there and is a STH. That rink is very impressive and I am looking forward to a trip up there after the 1st and taking in a game.

                              • Great for Seattle and Detroit having success and Beniers is going to be a star but D and goaltending for both clubs has to get better. Jones and Husso suspect at best. Time will tell. As far as playoffs go JBB always pulls the trigger and has the diamond touch. Hard to bet against him.
