Our new rink has the eZam with the "Level Ice" system. Computer and laser controlled. Only one problem--it doesn't work. Zamboni has us and several others who are complaining about the system. Maybe Seattle can get it right. Very cool that they are using rainwater to flood. Just gotta make sure the water filters are cleaned and checked regularly...and I'm sure they will.

Unbelievable (but also very believable) that the Panthers let Quenneville coach tonight. Like I can get that they probably have legal counsel advising them what to do so they aren’t on the hook for his contract, but at least put him on leave or something.

For now I think there's going to be a lot of finger pointing, he said he said crap and a lot of CYA by those involved. I've been reading a lot on social media with people saying that the players should have done more, what exactly were they supposed to do? Beach reported it to a higher up who in turn reported it to his higher up and I'd assume with the belief that they would look into the matter. I have to think that the Hawks management involved with the "cover up" were probably surprised as shit when the report came out like it did. They probably assumed that the law firm they hired to look into this mess were going to do like they did and sweep it under the rug.

You had Beach and Black Ace 1 being called f***t in the following years training camp and asked if he "missed his boyfriend Brad".
So, just a shot in the dark, but the players could have I dunno, one, not mocked a sexual assault victim, and two, made damn sure nobody else did either. I dunno, to me that doesn't seem like a bridge too far, but maybe I'm just expecting normal fucking human behavior from other humans.

Not being a fucking reprehensible piece of shit is not hard. Standing up for what you say you believe shouldn't be either if you actually believe it.

Apparently Calgary has pitched a massive package to Buffalo for Eichel centered around Tkachuk. Seems like a mistake to shake up a team on a hot start, and the rumored package is super steep, but I have no love for that team so hope they pull it off.
